Celebrations of 1000 years of St Benet’s Abbey continue during August with a free exhibition at St Catherine’s Church Ludham. After your visit to the exhibition, don’t miss a visit to the Abbey where you can see larger-than-life willow sculptures of monks hurrying between the Abbey and St James’ Hospital. If you visit on August 4th you could also attend the annual service.
3 August- 11 August St Benet’s Abbey 1000 years! Exhibition, St Catherine’s Church, Ludham – includes history of the Abbey, the life of St Benedict, photographic exhibition featuring the parish churches originally associated with St Benet’s, and work by local schoolchildren. Free entry
Sunday August 4: Mississippi Riverboat trip to St Benet’s Abbey for the annual open-air service, organised by Horning Church. Bar and toilets on the riverboat. Board at Swan Green Horning at 1.15pm. Tickets only £10 from Horning P.O. or email firstname.lastname@example.org
