Our volunteer Tour Guides will share the stories behind the history, of how the fort was initially used to ensure the safe delivery of imported goods, to then becoming a defense fort, preventing attacks from the Germanic Tribes eager to raid Britain. Our Guides will bring to life the role of the Roman Soldier, and share information around the changing landscape. Join the debate of whether the fourth wall ever existed and hear legends behind this historic place. Bring your camera for some spectacular views across the Yare. Guests who would like to enjoy a lunch at the Queens Head Pub in Burgh Castle will be offered a free drink with their meal.
