NAT (Norfolk Archaeological Trust) and the Caistor St Edmunds PCC (Parochial Church Council) are inviting everyone to a community consultation about possible ideas on the future use of the church building. The Norfolk Archaeological Trust owns and cares for the archaeological site of Caistor Roman Town, which attracts approximately 80,000 visitors per year, and the church was built within the ancient town. This is an opportunity to view and discuss our joint ideas for the church including modifying the church building to provide a visitor centre, an office for NAT and a community events space. It could also enable visitors to have a coffee, learn about the history of the site and the church,  and about NAT’s work in caring for 10 archaeological sites across Norfolk. The space would available for the famous parish cream teas, and also for events such as school visits, talks or workshops.

Come and view the plans for the building and hear about our vision for our shared use. Come and ask questions and give us your views.
