On Wednesday 18th March 2026, Jess and Fran took our talk of NAT Past, Present and Future to Wymondham W.I. with information and updates on our most recent acquisition of Moot Hill in Wymondham.

It was a fun evening with approximately 40 members of the W.I. who enjoyed the introduction to NAT and it’s work.  Jess was able to inform the meeting that Moot Hill remains closed to the public as the tree work continues supported by South Norfolk District Council.  Many of the trees on the site are self planted sycamore, and are suffering with sooty bark disease. The tree surgeons are working hard to make the site safe, whilst preserving the ecology of this site which is a scheduled historic monument and a county wildlife site.

We shared NAT’s vision of making Moot Hill a safe green space for the whole community of Wymondham to enjoy, with a goal in a few years time of having a community archaeological dig which will help to reveal the secret’s of this site.

We would like to thank Wymondham Bridewell W.I. for their hospitality and their interest in our work.
